What you will be doing:

• Conduct research and data analysis to develop and communicate a deep, evidence-driven understanding of underlying trends, relationships, and emerging issues within Australia's energy sector.
• Deliver high-level advice and support to senior management, the Minister's office, and external clients as required in relation to energy issues.
• Develop and maintain datasets and complex quantitative models relating to Queensland and Australian energy markets.
• Conduct data collection, data processing, detailed analysis, and data visualisation.

What experience you will bring:

• At least 3 years relevant experience in analytical roles.
• Proven experience leading the development and interpretation of quantitative models.
• Experience in complex data analysis using fit for purpose tools (e.g. Excel, Python, R, SQL).
• Presentation/data visualisation skills such as Power BI.
• Experience/knowledge of the energy sector and/or energy market modelling would be highly regarded.
