About the Position

We are looking to welcome a Psychologist to be part of the Specialist Disability Support in Schools (SDSS) Program on the North Coast. You will be based two days a week at Morayfield East State School and one day admin from home. This role provides services to students impacted by trauma to improve their access, participation and educational outcomes.

• Part time 0.6 FTE position.
• Government funded until 30 January 2026 with possible extension.
• Level 6 under the SCHCADS award. Salary range is $106,390 to $111,093 plus super.

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain relationships within Morayfield East State School, local community and government agencies.
• Maintain a client/case management load and provide discipline specific support in consultation with the Program Coordinator.
• Collaboratively Identify barriers, and create plans to overcomes these, while developing student and staff skills to improve students access, participation and achievement in their educational environment.

About You

• Tertiary degree in Psychology and current registration with AHPRA.
• Experience working with children, young people and their families.
• Experience providing individual and group therapy to children, young people and their families.
• Understanding of the impacts of trauma on child and family functioning.

Other Requirements

• Eligibility for a positive Working with Children Check or professional exemption.
• Current driver’s licence.
