About the Role
We are looking for a Junior Graphic Designer to join our team. In this role, you should be creative and just as importantly be organised with a sharp eye for detail. If you’re passionate about design and eager to develop your existing skills by working with senior designers on a range of ambitious and innovative projects, we’d like to meet you.
Ultimately your goal as a Junior Graphic Designer will be to be provide design support for the Senior Designers and Marketing Department by updating marketing collateral accurately and efficiently, and producing impactful design that captures and promotes our company vision.
You will work primarily for the AIM brand within the Design Team that sits within the Marketing Department and report to / work under the supervision of the Head of Brand and Design.
Key Responsibilities
Increasing Strategic Impact
- Provide support for the Head of Brand and Design to deliver impactful and successful creative for all campaigns and projects.
Development of multiple creative types for best practice testing
- Resizing of artwork to create channel optimised, best-practice creative.
- Production of creative variations for continual testing and refinement.
Creation, maintenance and management of digital assets
- Updating digital course outlines, guides and directories to ensure products are accurately represented and compliant with regulations.
- Ensure digital asset libraries are organised, ensuring accessibility and version control
- Creation of Quarterly Calendars and certificates for students
Landing page build and management
- Building, optimising and ongoing management of landing pages in Unbounce.
TLS design support
- Provide design resources when required to create personalised marketing materials, support client requirements
- Design and develop high-quality presentations that effectively communicate key messages and data.
General design support
- Execute the design and assembly of marketing collateral to a high standard
- Ensure consistency across all materials created and produced in accordance with brand guidelines
- Support the Head of Brand and Design in all design related projects.
Experience and Skills
- A Qualification in Graphic Design and /or 1-2 years experience in a similar role
- A strong portfolio showcasing design skills and projects.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)
- Experience working with HTML and Unbounce - desirable but not essential
- Experience working with Powerpoint
- Familiarity with project management and workflow tools such as Asana desirable but not essential
- Exceptional creativity, innovation, and imagination with a good foundation understanding of colour, form and layout
- Strong layout design and typography skills
- Ability to work well within a team
- A good eye for detail, ability to undertake repetitive tasks and stay focused
- The ability to work to briefs and deadlines and be self-motivated
- The ability to be flexible if priorities suddenly change
- Possess a desire to learn and hone your skills
- The willingness to listen to feedback and use it to improve
