Our client, a large Federal government department based in Civic, ACT, requires an experienced system analyst for a 12 + 12 + 12 month contract.

Duties

• Working with infrastructure teams, application teams and product owners to identify and document requirements for uplift of operating systems and/or server infrastructure.
• Developing and documenting requirements for the rationalisation and uplift of wholesale ICT services including discovery, analysis, recommendation, and assistance during migration.
• Planning and implementation of technical strategies.
• Ensuring smooth transition of approved solutions to the BAU support teams.
• Utilising information systems to interrogate, input, collate and undertake detailed analysis of data to guide recommendations.
  Working closely with technical leads to identify technical strategies and direct outcomes.

Essential criteria

• Proven experience using analytical techniques and tools to analyse and categorise data, ideally in the business service mapping domain.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate complex problems and evidence-based analysis to stakeholders in verbal and written format.
• Proven experience in stakeholder management and facilitating workshops.
• Independently undertake discovery activities with business, application and technology stakeholders.

Desirable criteria

• Familiarity with cloud-based data solutions and platforms.
• Experience in technical writing and delivering clear, detailed documentation for consumption by a broad stakeholder audience.
