We are looking for a highly motivated individual wishing to build their knowledge and expertise in a financial planning career. As part of a large holistic financial services group, our financial planning division is looking to place an ambitious assistant to provide admin support and paraplanner skills to the planning team. This position is ideal for someone passionate about financial planning and eager to learn and grow in a supportive environment.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to improve your financial planning education and work towards transitioning into a Junior Financial Advisor. Happy to promote you to financial advisor sooner than later if you show that you have what it takes.

Responsibilities:

• Assist the senior advisor with research, modelling, and calculations to develop financial advice strategies.
• Review and ensure accuracy and compliance of advice documents.
• Assist with implementing financial advice strategies.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, as well as liaise with Super Funds, investment platforms, Insurers, and other relevant stakeholders.
• Proactively meet client needs and ensure service standards are met.
• Actively contribute to ongoing process improvements.

Advantageous Skills

• Experience using relevant financial planning software and the ability to quickly learn new software.
• Have experience in working with Xplan or AdviserLogic.
• Completion or progress toward a relevant university degree.
• Advanced technical knowledge of financial planning.
• Comprehensive understanding of the compliance and regulatory framework.
• Knowledge and experience in financial planning processes and industry practices.
