We specialize in delivering a high level of complex supports to vulnerable people in our community, and pride ourselves on the quality of care we provide. Please read the job add carefully, as this role has set shifts and the hours below are the only hours we will be able to offer at this stage.
The job:
- You will be supporting a client living with Cerebral Palsy that is Non-verbal and has complex needs
- Shift duties include personal care assistance, PEG feeding & medications, catheter care & Complex bowl care.
- providing manual handling, hoisting and assistance with transfers.
- Full comprehensive training and support will be provided by our in-house clinical team
- We can provide either a casual or permanent position with an ongoing roster - it's your choice!
- Very attractive pay rates available.
PLEASE READ SHIFT TIMES BELOW.
Current Shifts available:
- Monday - Wednesday:
- Morning 6am to 8am
- Afternoon 3:30pm to 6:30pm - Thursday
- Afternoon 4pm to 6pm - Friday
- Morning 7am to 9:30am
- Afternoon 4pm to 6pm
Successful applicants will need to be energetic, resilient and committed. You are not required to have a previous background in this level of complex supports as all training will be provided, however a background working as a Support Worker is essential.
Requirements for the role
- You MUST be reliable and committed to working with our client consistently as these supports are essential
- Overnight availability to be a part of this client's ongoing roster
- A minimum of 6 months paid employment as a support worker or similar
- Certificate III or higher in related field is highly desirable
- Current Police Check (or ability to acquire)
- NDIS Worker Screen/Yellow Card (or ability to acquire)
Essential skills
- Do you have experience with PEG tube care and feeding?
- Do you have experience with catheter care?
- do you have experience with manual handling?
