Our Resort Presentation team are dedicated to maintaining the lushes of our gardens, the precision of our lawns, the vitality of our plants, and ensuring our resort remains a vibrant oasis. They are the green thumbs that bring beauty to every corner of the island. Without them we would be a dull place indeed.

Your Role
You will be the envy of the island with a super roster that allows you plenty of time to enjoy the beautiful Whitsundays and all it has to offer.
You will also:
- Undertake turf and garden maintenance and landscape construction
- Implement routine pest management and plant nutrition programs
- Safely operate landscape maintenance equipment in line with all Workplace Health and Safety procedures
- Uphold the aesthetic standards of all landscape precincts with meticulous attention to detail
- Participate in propagation and other aspects of the nursery complete
About You
You love nature and the outdoors, tropical plants will be your passion and you love to see them thrive.
You will also have:
- Certificate I, II or III in Horticulture or a minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
- Manual driver’s licence (Essential)
- White Card (Essential)
- Irrigation knowledge is not essential but will impress us.

About Hamilton Island Enterprises
History
From its original settlement by the Ngaro Aboriginal tribe, to its visit by Captain Cook in 1770, and evolution as a tourist destination in the 1970s and 1980s, Hamilton Island has had a long and interesting history. The island was purchased by renowned Australian winemaker, Bob Oatley, in 2003, and since, has become one of the world’s leading holiday destinations.
Environment
While there is an abundance of restaurants, bars and resorts on Hamilton Island, only a third of the island is developed - meaning the rest remains in its pristine, natural state. There are more than a dozen walking trails through which guests can explore the island.
Infrastructure
Every year, the Oatley family invests millions of dollars in improving the accommodation, infrastructure and services available on Hamilton Island. This includes ensuring that waste is disposed of in the most environmentally-friendly manner - and is re-used wherever possible - as well as making sure power sources are utilised in the most efficient way.
