Due to our growth and expansion throughout the region, Gunn Insurance Group trading as Elders Insurance Port Macquarie, has excellent opportunity for an Insurance Sales Support Officer/Account Executive. Being a Sales Support Officer (SSO) is more than just a desk job; it's a career with the opportunity to build knowledge and skills, while creating meaningful relationships. Our SSO's are at the forefront of all our customer interactions, focused on understanding our client's needs to ensure inquiries are expertly addressed in a timely manner.
Some of your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
Being the key point of contact for our customers, providing high-level customer service by responding to enquiries, addressing, and action client requests, and redirecting to members of the team when needed;
Provide excellent administration assistance to the team to ensure that our clients are well supported including:
Preparation, supply, and communication of accurate information and documentation
Providing accounts support through cash handling and receipting
Processing of policies and adjustments; and
Reviewing claims information and assisting clients as required;
Maintaining the integrity of data to ensure accurate reporting and policy processing.

Whilst experience in the industry would be beneficial, it is not essential. All necessary training will be provided to the successful applicant.
Ideally, you will possess the following:
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn
- Outstanding time management with the ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to establish and maintain lasting relationships with our clients and team
What we need
- Ability to obtain a satisfactory police check and ASIC clearance
- Prepared to obtain industry-standard accreditations, including Australian Financial Services Reform Act 2001 (AFRA) Tier 1 Accreditation.
