About the Business and Role:

Women’s Health and Wellbeing Services is an organisation focused on promoting women's well-being, self-esteem, independence, and health awareness in the South East Metro Area of Perth, Western Australia.

The role is for a Medicare registered psychologist or Social Worker and involves supporting the mental health of women and families through in-person, telephone, and telehealth counseling. The organisation offers a range of services, primarily counselling and health promotion, and is based in Gosnells.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Providing counseling to support the mental health of women and families through in-person, telephone, and telehealth sessions.
  2. Offering information and referrals to clients.
  3. Engaging in reporting and administrative tasks.

What's required:

  1. Strong theoretical knowledge of therapeutic assessment and ability to apply it in practice. Willingness to integrate various theoretical frameworks and treat a broad range of client issues.
  2. Relevant tertiary qualification in Psychology or mental health Social Work
  3. Current AHPRA or AASW full registration.
  4. Medicare Registered.
  5. Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team. High level of oral and written communication.

Desirable but not essential Skills:

  1. Experience working in a non-profit organization.
  2. Experience with culturally and linguistically diverse clients.
  3. Knowledge of community and health services
  4. Networking skills.
  5. Experience in perinatal mental health
  6. Experience supporting women with, or exploring diagnosis of, ADHD
