About you and this great opportunity

As a senior Payroll and Awards Specialist Implementation Lead, you will manage and support a team of Payroll and Awards Specialists, overseeing the Payroll and Awards Services function. You will play a key role in implementing and configuring the client's payroll and awards product, while leading the continuous development of supporting processes to improve service delivery. You will work in collaboration and partnership with other services teams, product, and customers to deliver business and customer outcomes.

  • Lead the requirements analysis, configuration, and testing of Payroll and Awards components for customer implementations, in collaboration with consulting, engineering, product, and project management teams
  • Lead customer-facing engagements discussing Payroll and
    Awards capabilities
  • Develop a channel to share feedback and positively contribute to and influence the WFM roadmap in collaboration with the product team
  • Provide general expertise in payroll and awards processes and best practices
  • When necessary, support business development activities by reviewing project proposals and requirements and providing supporting collateral
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Payroll and Awards Specialists, fostering a collaborative environment
  • Ensure line management accountability for Payroll and Awards Specialists and escalate any implementation or people-related risks and issues to leadership
  • Lead the Payroll & Awards function and related processes to deliver successful outcomes for customers, working collaboratively with internal delivery and leadership teams, as well as external customer delivery and leadership teams
  • Operating within a matrix structure involving Project Managers/Coordinators and Consultant Leads
  • Accurate and timely capture of project-related data to support financial and team analysis and forecasting is essential
  • Collaborate with the project management team to monitor and manage project risks, issues, key decisions, and project interdependencies
  • Serve as a collaborative leader within the Services team, cultivating strong relationships with consultants, product managers, product teams, and commercial teams

What skills and experience will you bring to this role?

  • Over 5 years of experience in roles directly configuring and/or building Payroll and Awards systems or providing system administration oversight
  • Experience in consulting or external stakeholder management is essential
  • 2cloudnine Payroll Software - Highly sought
  • Experience with Salesforce a plus
  • Proven experience in leading and mentoring teams on methodology adoption, career development, and fostering a positive working environment
  • Experience in leading a geographically dispersed team is advantageous
  • Experience with Agile, Waterfall, and Adaptive delivery models and mindsets, along with knowledge of various program management frameworks, principles, methodologies, and tools
  • Proven track record of providing quality insights that help drive
    decisions ensuring teams are operating effectively and delivering
    consistent results
  • Proven ability to negotiate and resolve complex delivery risks and issues with external stakeholders/customers and internal teams
  • Experience delivering a wide range of initiatives, including process redesign, productivity tools, and organizational change
  • Experience within the Healthcare industry is advantageous
  • Experience with Salesforce or other HRIS systems is a plus
