Position details Position title: Retail Sales Person (RE3) (Temp view to Permanent)
Location:Hervey Bay Qld 4655 & Maryborough Qld 4650
Reports to: Store Manager Position: 1x Full-time (part-time negotiable)

The purpose of this role is to increase product sales to customers both in person, via Telephone and via email. Products sold will be in the steel industry, fencing, building & manufacturing industries. 70% of sales will be to the public, handy man, contractor or walk in customers. Telephone enquiries are on the increase and callers are encouraged to come into store or make the sale over the telephone. The position will also involve ordering products direct from suppliers.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to;

• Increase product Sales & offer new product sales.
• Maintain high customer satisfaction
• Maintain records for Sales, Ordering & Stock movements
• Handle Telephone Enquiries
• Take Responsibility of sales from quote stage to collection & obtaining feedback.
• Replenishing stock & learning all products.
• Available to work rostered hours 7:30am to 4:30pm weekdays & Saturdays 8:00am to 1:00pm.
• Available to work in Hervey Bay Store & Maryborough (Occasionally)

Key accountabilities Customer Service, Handle all sales enquiries and quotes to customers in person, via phone and email in a professional manner. Computer Skills POS sales, stock ordering.

Maintain quality products received and stored until collected or delivered. Maintain a quality & presentable store front. Stock Tracking and replenish stock at all times.
Communication needs to be excellent, Customer Service skills, Phone manner, Ability to communicate to other staff and assist other.
Existing steel, Aluminium, Stainless product knowledge is highly considered as preparation for customer pickup and delivery will be required.
Company policy and procedures must be adhered to at all times as maintain a high quality of service.

Skills / Qualifications

Essential:

• 2 Years of Counter / Retail Sales Experience
• Excellent Customer service - (Face to Face & Telephone Sales Experience)
• Excellent Sales Office Experience ( Email, Quoting, Ordering, Stock Availability)
• Computer Experience (Point of Sales & Purchasing, Emails)
• Drivers License
• Available To Work Saturdays

Desirable:

• Forklift Licence
• Experience with Steel, Stainless, Aluminium or past fabrication trade of the products.
• Knowledge of BOC welding products
• Prior Sales Representative experience.

Work Environment/Conditions

This role will be based behind a counter in a seated position with customer standing. All equipment and office supplies are supplied.
Travelling will be required occasionally between our Maryborough Store & Hervey bay store to work. You will be required to work a rostered 2 week rotation with other staff. Work uniforms will be supplied as will all PPE.
Store stock levels will be adequately maintained & ordered as part of the position as will the products ordered by customers not in stock.
