Who you are
You are a driven and detail-oriented professional with:
- A degree in library and information science or a related field, eligible for associate membership with the Australian Library and Information Association, and at least four years of library experience.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage with diverse stakeholders effectively.
- A deep understanding of library discovery systems and metadata, with a track record of applying advanced technologies to enhance access and usability.
- Experience in project management, team leadership, and balancing competing priorities to deliver exceptional results.
- A passion for continuous improvement and a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
What you'll do
In this dynamic role, you will:
- Oversee and improve the user experience across all library discovery platforms and interfaces, ensuring seamless access to resources.
- Provide expertise in metadata schemas, data interoperability, and discovery layer systems to ensure accurate and efficient resource discovery.
- Develop and optimise the library’s digital platforms to maximise resource accessibility and engagement.
- Guide the adoption and use of productivity tools for library staff and support data-driven decision-making with advanced analytics.
- Build relationships across the university and beyond to contribute to multidisciplinary projects that enhance library services.
- Lead and mentor team members, including the Discovery Librarian, to foster a culture of excellence and innovation.
- Manage workflow evaluations, implement process redesigns, and ensure evidence-based practices drive service enhancements.

Salary: Total Remuneration range of $115,122 to $127,298 pa (includes salary range of $97,272 to $107,560 pa, employer superannuation contributions of 17%, and annual leave loading)
