Your Opportunity
While many people gamble for entertainment, a large number of Australians develop gambling habits that negatively impact themselves, their families and their communities.
The GambleAware service in Illawarra and Southern NSW provides free, confidential, non-judgmental counselling support for individuals and families, and community members who are concerned about their own or others' gambling.
We're seeking a dynamic and proactive Program Manager to champion our mission. You'll lead a dedicated team, ensuring they deliver exceptional care and support. Your role is pivotal in driving performance, maintaining compliance, and reporting on impactful outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will be to:
- Ensure service commitments are delivered, and positive client outcomes are achieved
- Lead and provide guidance to the team in the delivery of the program's requirements to clients
- Conduct regular site visits across the Illawarra Southern NSW area to support the team & program
- Conduct supervision and support to current employee workforce
- Develop and maintains relationships with other key internal stakeholders
- Identify and support staff training and development needs
- Ensure the service is meeting compliance, funding agreements and create reports including comprehensive program and client data statistics and reports
Requirements for Success:
- Relevant degree with experience or diploma with substantial experience
- Psychology, Counselling or Management qualification highly desirable
- Ability to lead and manage teams in a complex service delivery setting
- Ability to deliver service outcomes in compliance with funding requirements
- Ability to develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders
- Previous experience in budget and financial management
- Current NSW Driving Licence
Before starting work with us, you will need to undertake a national police history check, qualifications, and referee checks, and have a clearance to work with children/vulnerable people.
