The Opportunity
Are you an experienced project manager with a passion for civil infrastructure design and Project Management? We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join Moonee Valley City Council's Engineering Services team. In this role, you will design and deliver civil infrastructure projects, overseeing the end-to-end process from feasibility to construction. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality project outcomes within budget and timelines, while modelling advanced project management behaviours to help drive the maturity of our team and processes. Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert civil engineering advice within a multi-disciplinary and dynamic environment.
- Manage medium to large-scale infrastructure projects, including project administration, budget analysis, reporting, and stakeholder engagement.
- Ensure all civil engineering works are designed and built to Council's standards, drawings and guidelines and other relevant industry standards
- Design and deliver multiple concurrent technical projects, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and of high quality.
- Foster collaboration across teams and with key internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing accurate and effective civil engineering advice in a multi-disciplinary and dynamic environment.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate will have a tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering (Bachelor of Engineering, recognised by Engineers Australia) and be a Registered Professional Engineer under the Professional Engineers Registration Act 2019. You will have substantial experience in civil infrastructure design and project management, including overseeing the design, construction, and financial management of projects. Your advanced technical knowledge will be complemented by exceptional interpersonal skills, enabling you to engage and influence stakeholders effectively. You will also demonstrate the ability to manage multiple projects autonomously, while maintaining a high standard of quality and compliance with relevant legislation, guidelines, and policies.
