About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Installer - Curtains, Shutters & Blinds to join our team at The Coloured House in Townsville, QLD. This is a full-time position (sub-contractors are welcome to apply) that will involve installing a wide range of window coverings, including curtains, shutters, and blinds, for our residential and commercial clients.

What you'll be doing

• Check measure and install a variety of window coverings including curtains, shutters, and blinds
• Ensure all installations are completed to a high standard, meeting customer specifications and safety requirements
• Troubleshoot any issues that may arise during the installation process and provide solutions
• Maintain a clean and organised work area throughout the installation process
• Manufacture curtain tracks
• Communicate effectively with customers to understand their needs and provide excellent customer service
• Liaise with the sales and design team to ensure a seamless end-to-end customer experience

What we're looking for

• Demonstrated experience in the installation of curtains, shutters, and blinds
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work precisely and accurately
• Good problem-solving skills and the ability to think on your feet
• Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients
• A valid driver's licence and reliable transportation
• The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must have a White Card - or the ability to obtain one
• It is preferred that the ideal candidate have their own van or ute and tools of the trade. A generous monthly allowance is on offer in addition with salary.
