About The Role

Storeperson/ Technician, Full-Time– Monday to Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm

This is an excellent opportunity to join our growing Burwell servicing team as a Storeperson/ Technician. In this full-time role, you will be a vital part of our team in Newcastle as you will lead the growth of our Newcastle hire division by servicing Burwell equipment. You will also be assisting in warehouse operations and any ad hoc duties required for our branch to achieve soaring heights. Don’t fret if you don’t have any servicing knowledge, we provide full training and support. All we ask is the desired applicant to be eager and willing to learn, have a mechanical mind or interest in the field, have a hardworking attitude and want to be a vital part of the Newcastle team. You will be working in a small team, reporting to the Newcastle Branch Manager.

Responsibilities

• Pick and packing orders
• Unloading and loading trucks
• Stocktakes
• General cleanliness of the warehouse
• Local customer deliveries
• Assisting with hire equipment division
• Basic servicing of branch hire equipment
• Dispatching and receipting of branch hire equipment
• Organising transportation of products received
• Maintain a safe work environment at all times
• Stock Shelf Maintenance
• Reviewing Orders before & after delivery to ensure they are complete
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all work performed
• Answer inquiries
• Assist other staff when required
• Grow existing and new customer accounts
• Other duties as requested by the Warehouse Manager and Branch Manager

What You’ll Need To Succeed

• Forklift Licence
• Drivers Licence
• Comfortable with computers and learning new systems
• Must have warehouse experience, minimum 2 years
• Must have own mode of transport
• Experience in operating a forklift
• Some mechanical aptitude, mechanically minded
• Computer literate in Word, Excel, Outlook and MYOB.
• Strong Communication Skills
• Positive Attitude & willingness to learn
• Previous experience with Manual handling roles is highly desirable
• Ability to work well in a team and autonomously
• Eye for detail & accuracy
• Honest, Reliable and hardworking
• Ability to complete orders on a timely schedule
• A commitment to following safe working practices
• Ability to meet deadlines and problem solve
• Knowledge of the industry would be advantageous.
• Ability to lift up to 25kgs
• Direct selling experience
• Ability to work unsupervised.
• Ability to identify pain points and address customer needs.
• Excellent communicator at all levels
• Think on your feet
