- Base salary ranges between $210,332 and $266,677 p.a. (L18-L27)

About the role
Provision of specialist psychiatric knowledge and skills to facilitate the delivery of quality mental health care to patients of the Integrated Mount Isa Mental Health and Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug services and the Homeless Health Outreach Team. In addition, provide professional leadership within the Mental Health Service at Mount Isa Hospital and within the North West Hospital and Health Service.
Requirements
- An MBBS or equivalent to enable General Registrant or Special Purpose Registrant registration with the Medical Board of Australia, Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA) is mandatory.
- Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association.
- Demonstrated experience in mental health.
- Experience in Addictions psychiatry is highly desirable.
- Ability to provide evidence that practitioner can function independently in mental health.
- An interest in the Public health, particularly as it pertains to mental health in Indigenous and Rural and Remote communities.
- C Class Motor Vehicle Licence.
- Pre-employment screening will be conducted for the successful applicant, including Criminal History checks.
- This is a VPD risk role and may require evidence of vaccination or immunity to: Hepatitis A/B, Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis, and Tuberculosis.
