The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

About the role
MSS Security is looking for full time relief officers who are primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team within a banking domain. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Work on a rotating roster, across multiple sites within the Sydney CBD. Duties include but are not limited to:

• Access control and monitor CCTV
• Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries
• Direct and escort visitors to site
• Visitor sign in/induction and maintain key registers and issue keys
• Conduct foot patrols internal and external

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate
• Current NSW Security licence
• Dedication, reliability and a commitment to security
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High standards of presentation and grooming
• High level computer literacy skills
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
• Integrity and sound judgment
