The roles, responsibilities and duties of a Security Officer can be performed in many different sectors and varying roles. This Position Description outlines the general duties in line with specific role types and acts as a guide rather than a comprehensive list of tasks.

About the role
MSS Security is looking for a full time security officer who is NV1 Cleared and who will be primarily responsible for providing a security presence whilst remaining alert and focused. You will be part of an enthusiastic, committed and customer focused team. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to all our customers, and you will build strong relationships with your internal stakeholders. Work on a rotating roster, across multiple sites within the Sydney CBD.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• Concierge / commercial building security
• Access control and monitor CCTV
• Respond professionally, courteously and promptly to all customer enquiries
• Direct and escort visitors to site
• Visitor sign in/induction and maintain key registers and issue keys
• Conduct foot patrols internal and external

Skills and Experience:

• Certificate II in Security Operations and current First Aid certificate
• Current NSW Security licence
• NV1 Clearance or ability to obtain one
• Australian Citizenship (due to clearance requirements)
• Dedication, reliability and a commitment to security
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• High standards of presentation and grooming
• High level computer literacy skills
• The ability to work with minimal supervision and within a team environment
• Integrity and sound judgment
