The Role

This is a dual role involving both client services and paraplanning responsibilities. Your key duties will include:

  • Preparing Statements of Advice (SOAs) and all required compliance documents.
  • Supporting the SMSF establishment and closure process.
  • Maintaining ongoing client relationships and assisting with compliance and administrative tasks.
  • Liaising with clients to facilitate SMSF establishment and SOA processes.
  • Assisting the team in developing SMSF investment strategies.
  • Responding to client SMSF queries and providing high-level customer support.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience: Two to three years of experience as an administrator or paraplanner in the financial planning or accounting industry.
  • SMSF Knowledge: Understanding SMSF rules and regulations. Experience with SMSF establishment, administration, and paraplanning software is desirable.
  • Skills: Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining accuracy, work independently as well as part of a team, and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organisational Ability: Exceptional organisational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Qualifications: RG146-compliant or working towards financial planning qualifications are preferred. SMSF-specific training and understanding of SMSFs are musts.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and SMSF software packages (e.g., BGL 360). Experience with DASH would be highly regarded. Knowledge of FYI, XPM, Practice Ignition, and HubSpot is desirable.
  • Attitude: A proactive approach with a strong client service focus, a willingness to learn, and a desire to contribute to a positive team environment.
