Due to rapid growth, a full time position has become available to join our service department as a Yardhand/Service support.

The Role:

As part of our Service Team, the Yard Hand/ Service Support is responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient daily operation of our Brisbane Branch yard. It is a busy yard, with company owned and subcontracted heavy vehicles coming in and out of the yard delivery of our Hire Equipment.

The role involves but not limited to:

• Cleaning and detailing of all plant and equipment in the yard, using designated wash bay.
• Taking De-Hire and Pre-Hire Photos
• Allocating Equipment for upcoming Hires
• Making sure safe loading and unloading of plant and equipment, both exiting and returning to the yard
• Pre-hire function checks
• Allocation of transport
• Pick up supplies and completing deliveries (using workshop vehicle).
• Complete De-Hire inspections of returning fleet equipment for customer damage and refuel.
• Maintaining general yard tidiness and presentation
• Loading and unloading courier deliveries
• Maintaining general yard tidiness and presentation

The Right Person for the Role:

The successful candidate must be self-motivating who is reliable and embraces challenges and responsibility with enthusiasm and energy. You pride yourself on your can-do attitude.

• Previous experience as a Yard Hand in a Logistics or Transport environment preferred.
• Physical capable to be able to complete all functions safely in the role.
• Forklift licence is preferred but not essential.
• Must hold a current and valid QLD Drivers Licence
• Demonstrated ability to be reliable & punctual.
• Willingness to be an integral part of the team and work autonomously.
• showing initiative.
