Are you an experienced Service Technician, Mechanical Fitter, or Boilermaker with a background in industrial or manufacturing environments? We’re hiring on behalf of a well-established and highly regarded FMCG manufacturer. This permanent position offers comprehensive training on advanced equipment, enabling you to gain expertise in fault diagnosis, maintenance, and installation and commissioning of new machinery.

The ideal candidate will be based in Sydney's western suburbs, though applicants willing to travel across the metropolitan area are also encouraged to apply. This role operates on a Monday-to-Friday day shift roster completing a 38 hour week however there is substantial overtime available.

The position offers a competitive hourly rate of $60-$63, plus 11.5% superannuation. Additional benefits include a company vehicle, fuel and toll allowances.

Responsibilities

• Installation and commissioning of mechanical/electrical production equipment
• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical and electrical production and facility equipment
• Undertake welding of manufacturing equipment
• Work on automated and state of the art manufacturing equipment
• Liaise with clients as the face of the company and explain completed work and best practice use/maintenance
• Drive operational success by implementing strategies focused on enhancing quality and streamlining efficiency.
• Effectively manage time to ensure tasks are completed within established deadlines.
• Conduct scheduled maintenance activities in alignment with manufacturer specifications.
• Quickly address equipment failures to reduce downtime and maintain productivity.

Your Profile

• Mechanical trade qualification or Boilermaker trade qualification
• Strong mechanical aptitude and sound electrical aptitude
• Welding and fabrication experience is required
• Automation skills and knowledge would be beneficial
• Experience working in a manufacturing facility
• A restricted electrical licence would be advantageous
• Pride in workmanship and delivering quality results
• Comfortable liaising with clients and well presented

• $60 - $63 per hour plus 11.5% superannuation (based on experience)
• Work vehicle that you can use for personal use (fully maintained)
• Fuel card, mobile phone and laptop
• Substantial overtime that is paid at penalties
• Monday - Friday - 38 hour work week
