About the Role

In this role you will have the opportunity to use your exceptional administrative skills and passion for people to make a real difference in the lives of nurses and midwives!

You will be an experienced administrative professional providing quality administrative support to the Organising and Professional Services Team.

Key responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Providing quality administration, customer service and general support to QNMU staff;
  • Performing accurate word processing and data entry;
  • Maintaining accurate files through the records management system;
  • Taking minutes of meetings; and
  • Contributing to the team planning and professional activities of the team.

About You

Working as part of a busy team, you will be a great team player willing to step in and provide administrative support as required. You will possess a professional demeanour with a strong work ethic and the demonstrated ability to work under pressure and to meet deadlines. Consistently displaying a collaborative and team-focused approach to your work, you will have the ability to handle sensitive information and maintain confidentiality at all times.

To be successful in this role you will possess:

  • Intermediate skills in the Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks while supporting the administration requirements of multiple staff members;
  • Demonstrated experience in taking minutes;
  • Demonstrated commitment to QNMU’s values, purpose and trade unionism in general;
  • A mature, personable and professional customer service approach to work;
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills;

  • Starting base salary of $79,074.66
  • 5 weeks annual leave + 17.5% leave loading
  • Monthly RDO’s (13 per year) or option to work compressed hours 9 day fortnight
