About Research Ethics and Clinical Trials Team:
The Research Ethics & Clinical Trials Office manages the interface between Ethics Committees, researchers and state, federal and international regulatory bodies, ensuring QIMR Berghofer’s ethical systems and processes are effective and support researchers.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Manager, Research Ethics and Clinical Trials, the purpose of the role is to safeguard animal welfare by providing expert secretariat support to our Animal Ethics Committee and offering informed advice on ethical considerations to our researchers. You will be the central point of contact, ensuring smooth committee operations and promoting a culture of responsible animal care.
About you:
We're seeking a highly organized and compassionate individual with:
- Proven experience in providing high-level advice and secretariat support to researchers and committees.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- A genuine passion for animal welfare and a strong understanding of ethical principles.
Remuneration: Salary range is $103,278 to $112,359 p.a. plus super and salary packaging. This is a full-time 6 month-fixed- term appointment.
