About the Role...

We have an exciting opportunity for a suitably qualified weed operator to join our City Operations - Support Services team.

In this role you will:

  • Undertake effective Weed management and control across City of Playford.
  • Contribute to maintaining and lifting city appearance through the delivery of cost effective and efficient City Operations maintenance services across our
  • Actively promote and contribute to the City Operations Cultural Umbrella.

About You...

It’s important to us that you are the right fit to join our team, but just as important, that Playford is the right place for you.

You will need a range of relevant and current certificates, licences and experience to be suitable for this role. Some of these include holding a current (unrestricted) MR Driver's licence and certificate of competency in:

  • Level 3: AHCCHM303 – Prepare and apply chemicals
  • Level 3: AHCCHM304 – Transport and store chemicals

In addition you will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in weed control management.
  • Appropriate licences to undertake Weed control methods including chemical, Biological, Mechanical (Such as whipper snipping and mechanical edging methods), Hand weeding, Hedging and Minor pruning relevant to the position.

Incumbents in these positions will be required to undergo a pre-employment medical and functional assessment (including drug & alcohol screen) as well as undertaking a National Criminal History Clearance or DCSI Clearance.
