WHO THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT

We’re looking for someone who is serious about leadership and career progression and has strong food industry experience. This role could be a perfect fit if you are:

An Experienced Kitchen Manager or Production Manager

  • You’ve already led teams in catering, large-scale hospitality, food production, or airline catering.
  • You understand high-volume food operations, efficiency, and staff leadership.
  • You’re looking for a new challenge where you can fully own and optimise a kitchen operation.

A High-Performing Head Chef or Sous Chef Ready for a More Structured Leadership Role

  • You’ve worked as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a high-volume kitchen, but you want more leadership and operational control rather than just running a service.
  • You thrive in structured, process-driven environments where efficiency is just as important as creativity.
  • You’re looking for better work-life balance (4-day workweek, no unpredictable restaurant hours).

A Food Production or Catering Operations Leader

  • You come from meal production, catering, or high-volume food operations.
  • You understand process improvement, KPI management, and structured workflows.
  • You’ve managed a team in a food environment and know how to lead people while optimising efficiency.

Note: We will only consider candidates with strong experience in food production, catering, or large-scale kitchen operations. If you don’t have experience in these areas, this role is not for you.

THE ROLE – OWN YOUR SHIFT. DRIVE EXCELLENCE. LEAD A TEAM.

This is a leadership position where you’ll take full responsibility for our afternoon and night production operations. You’ll work closely with our Operations Manager to ensure seamless handovers and keep the kitchen running like clockwork.

🚀 What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Leading & motivating a high-performance team, ensuring world-class execution every shift.
  • Driving operational efficiency—eliminating waste, optimizing workflows, and ensuring everything runs at peak performance.
  • Upholding elite food quality standards—nothing leaves the kitchen unless it’s perfect.
  • Solving problems fast—keeping production on track and handling challenges like a pro.
  • Enforcing food safety & compliance to the highest industry standards.
  • Ensuring a positive, high-energy team culture where people perform at their best.
  • Collaborating with the Operations Manager to improve processes, staffing, and overall efficiency.

WORK OUTSIDE OF SHIFT HOURS

While the core hours for this role are Monday to Thursday, 3 PM – 12 AM, there will be some ad-hoc responsibilities outside of these hours to ensure smooth operations. This may include:

  • Checking and adjusting staff rosters as needed.
  • Coordinating with suppliers or other departments when required.
  • Reviewing kitchen performance metrics and addressing key operational concerns.
  • Occasionally responding to urgent issues affecting kitchen operations.

Some flexibility is expected as part of leadership responsibilities. We are upfront about these expectations to ensure alignment with the right candidate.
