The ideal applicant

  • We are looking for a strong and experienced Business Development Manager. We call our BDM's, Environmental Business Partners.
  • You need to be able to start and finish from your home office each day and be extremely self-motivated and disciplined.
  • You must have strong cold calling skills and be able to link opportunities together.
  • You need to be a hunter, be resilient and have a proven record of performance.
  • You will find and convert the opportunities and our service division will then run with it.

The Company

Our Head Office, Management Team and Support Teams are all located in the Eastern states, therefore there will be high levels of support, but there is also a high level of autonomy within this role as well.

We have an enviable reputation of having delivered innovative solutions to meet our client's needs through minimizing the risk of accidental industrial spills and subsequent damage to the environment. This is accomplished by providing cutting edge environmental training and spill response solutions.

Our philosophy is to provide our clients with an appropriate solution, we do not over supply, and if we can't provide a suitable solution, we will suggest someone who can.

The Role

  • The territory covers the entire state; however, the focus will be on metropolitan Perth and surrounding population hubs. This region is where we are seeking the growth.
  • The only focus is on finding new business which involves cold calling, face to face meetings, networking and so on
  • Reporting to the National Sales and Marketing Manager, use your natural persuasive skills to improve the potential client’s environmental performance and protect the natural environment within the commercial sector.
  • Complete site visits, write proposals and build a strong pipeline of opportunities.
  • Maintain currency & accuracy of data in our CRM system.
  • Maintain appropriate customer follow up and contact cycles of these new opportunities.
  • Being part of a small national multi-disciplinary team work closely with technical staff to ensure customer requirements are met.

  • You are self-motivated, a self-starter and have the ability to work in a home office environment.
  • You have great time management and the internal drive that keeps you going at full pace.
  • A natural at prospecting using digital data bases, LinkedIn and networking to identify new clients and new markets.
  • This is not an account management role, it's all about uncovering new opportunities.
  • You will also have an eye for detail and a requirement is to submit informative activity reports weekly.
  • You will feel genuinely about protecting our natural resources and assisting commercial organizations achieve this.

Package

Absorb Environmental Solutions is offering a competitive base salary package, plus car and work from home allowance, mobile phone, lap top and an uncapped commission structure paid monthly, meaning you will have the opportunity to be rewarded for results with no ceiling to what you can earn. This is a field-based role and requires an established home office setup. Sales, marketing and technical head office is provided to support you, you just need to provide the business development skills and bring in the new clients.
