Are you passionate about transforming healthcare through digital innovation? We’re looking for a dynamic Digital Health Officer to support the implementation and adoption of Digital Health initiatives across primary health care in our PHN region. This role is pivotal in advancing local, state, and national digital health priorities.

About the role
This role will give you the opportunity to be at the forefront of digital health transformation, utilising your energetic, adaptable, self-driven character and stakeholder engagement experience, to support the primary care workforce with digital health change. You will be able to apply your passion for digital change and work collaboratively and creatively to improve equity of access to primary care services for people in the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Stakeholder Engagement and Collaboration: Establish strong relationships with primary care providers and assist with the implementation of Digital Health initiatives that align with PHN’s strategic direction.
  • Digital Health Awareness and Education: Provide awareness and education on Digital Health solutions to PHN teams and healthcare providers that supports capability and adoption.
  • Processes Development: Contribute to the creation and maintenance of processes, standards, templates, and tools for Digital Health initiatives.
  • Data Management and Documentation: Accurately collect and input data into the PHN Customer Relationship Management system to support the evaluation and reporting on digital health initiatives. Handle confidential data in accordance with Australian Privacy principles.
  • Risk Management: Identify and report risks and issues related to Digital Health implementation.
  • Organisational Contribution: Display a positive attitude and identify continuous improvement opportunities.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Digital Health tools and technologies used in primary health care including medical practice software applications.
  • Qualifications or experience in the primary health care environment.
  • Excellent customer service skills with a demonstrated willingness to exceed customer expectations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and a demonstrated ability to network and work collaboratively with a wide range of professionals and consumers.
  • Demonstrated presentation skills with an attention to detail.
  • Experience with computer applications, including Microsoft 365 Suite.

Additional Information

*PHN's have been funded by the Department of Health and Aged Care since 2015. This is a maximum term contract until 30 September 2026 and any contract extensions are dependent on ongoing funding.
**Salary: This role is classified as F – J within our Enterprise Agreement and the rate will be dependent on skills and experience/qualifications. New appointments are generally offered between grade F – I.
