Road Service & Workshop Technician - Heavy Forklift & Equipment

Location: Cairns

• 5 weeks leave
• 9-day fortnight (optional)
• Pay rate $48-$52 per hour

Scope:

Road Service Technicians are responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services including planned maintenance, repairs, overhauls and modifications to various types of Forklifts in accordance with customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out diagnosis and repairs including resealing of cylinders, pumps, motors, valves and replacement of components
• Check accuracy and quality of finished parts
• Read/follow hydraulic and electrical schematics for diagnosing purposes
• Maintain safe working practices at all times
• Follow instructions and work unsupervised
• Carry out machine function and safety checks
• Pre-delivery inspections
• Compile fault lists on machines
• Attend call-outs
• Communication with both the road and workshop service coordinators/managers

Selection Criteria:

• Trade Certificate
• Experience in Forklifts
• Strong work ethic
• Able to work independently
• Strong communication skills
• Strong track record in safety management
