Join our rapidly growing Defence fabrication team as a full time CNC Machinist. This role will see you operating one of the largest bridge and gantry milling machines in Australia, which has just been commissioned as part of our $25M site upgrade for our defence contracts. The role is based at our modern facility in Wynyard, North-Western Tasmania.

We are now using this experience within the Defence industry, and are seeking expertise to deliver two major Defence manufacturing contracts.

About the Role

The role is a hands-on operations role and will report to our Manufacturing Lead.

Key tasks will include:

• Machine setup and operation (Sinumerik One controller)
• Adjust machine tool paths and settings to optimize production while maintaining quality
• Reading and interpret drawings and technical information

About You

Desired Skills and Qualifications:

• Relevant Trade or Engineering Qualification (Certificate 3 and above)
• Significant experience in CNC machining
• An exceptional level of attention to detail
• Ability to work safely
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Ability to work to production schedules
• Willingness to contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives
