Position Overview:
As a Precast Formwork Carpenter, you will be an integral part of our precast panel production team. Your primary responsibility will be the construction and installation of formwork, which involves shaping and reinforcing steel within concrete molds to create precast panels. You will ensure the formwork is accurately aligned and meets the required design specifications, contributing to the production of high-quality and durable precast products used in construction projects. Your work will be key to maintaining safety standards, efficiency, and precision throughout the manufacturing process.

Start Shift Time: - 6am Monday to Friday

Key Responsibilities:

• Construct and assemble formwork for prefab concrete panels
• Measure and cut materials to desired specifications using hand and power tools
• Read and interpret blueprints and construction drawings to determine project requirements
• Ensure formwork is level, plumb, and square, using levels, lasers, and other measuring tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, and other fixtures in the formwork
• Remove formwork after concrete has cured
• Inspect and maintain formwork to ensure it is in good condition and safe for use
• Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure projects are completed on time and to specifications

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably with experience in precast formwork.
• Strong carpentry skills, including proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and formwork construction techniques.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications.
• Knowledge of reinforcement techniques and the proper placement of steel in concrete forms.
• Ability to work in physically demanding conditions, including lifting heavy materials, standing, bending, and working in various weather conditions.
• High level of precision and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in formwork and reinforcement.
• Familiarity with safety regulations and procedures in construction, and the ability to work safely around heavy machinery and materials.
• Ability to collaborate with other team members and follow instructions from supervisors and engineers.
• Ability to identify issues and recommend practical solutions to overcome challenges on the job site.
• Relevant certifications or training in carpentry, construction safety, or formwork systems.
