Ohana For Youth is a growing, respected and innovative charity based in Southeast Queensland that provides secondary education and support programs to young people.
Our colleges are Co-Ed Independant Special Assistance schools for young people who have disengaged from mainstream schooling. Our stunning, purpose built facilities are located at Robina on the Gold Coast and Meadowbrook in Logan.

We are looking for a qualified and passionate ICT professional to join our IT team. Reporting to the IT Manager, the role will assist in providing direct support to students and staff in the general operation of the educational and business technologies across our three organisations. The role will work on a rotating basis between our two school campuses at Robina and Meadowbrook.
This is a full time, permanent position. The hours required will be Monday - Friday, 8am to 4pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Primary responsibility is user support and customer service.
- Respond to support requests submitted via email, in person and via telephone.
- Provide professional and expert advice in response to queries regarding ICT equipment and procedures.
- Work individually and as part of a team to identify and resolve problems that affect ICT services.
- Provide assistance and training to staff and students in the appropriate use of all business ICT equipment.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including installing basic software packages, setting common options and trouble-shooting basic problems.
- Install, support and troubleshoot School ICT equipment including desktop computers, MacBooks, iPads, and printers, desk phones, and audio visual.
- Maintain a registry of ICT hardware and software.
- Record all support requests, outcomes and time taken in the Support Request portal.
- Procurement, ordering and tracking of all ICT hardware, software and services via the business administration software.
- Account creation and maintenance of internal staff and students.
- Follow relevant workplace, health and safety procedures and raise awareness among staff and students.
Key Selection Criteria:
- A relevant tertiary level qualification or equivalent demonstrated work experience preferably in an Educational setting.
- Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on building and maintaining quality relationships with both internal and external stakeholders of the business.
- A professional approach with a high level of customer service skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
- An aptitude for adapting to and understanding new technologies and supporting staff and students in the operation of educational technologies.
- A good working knowledge of and use of MacOS, iPadOS, iOS, Windows Server 2012 & 2016.
- An understanding of Mobile Device Management software, Apple School Manager, Office 365 Administration and Google G-Suite Administration.
- Basic working knowledge of LAN and WAN hardware, protocols and technologies.
- Possession of a current paid “Positive Notice Blue Card for Child Related Employment Qld"
- Clear National Police Check
