Workshop Supervisor.

Are you an experienced Heavy Diesel Mechanic looking to take on more of a coordinator/supervisor role?

Jolly and Sons have a unique opportunity which would suit someone looking to stay current in their skills and experience but who can operate in more of a supporting role.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This role will play a pivotal part in ensuring services and compliance requirements are managed.

It will oversee workshop requirements in terms of stock and workload planning.

Be a go-to for operations and drivers with mechanical questions.

Provide hands-on servicing and repairs as required.

The key part of this role is being on-call for driver breakdown support out of hours. This will not see you being called out to the breakdown site, but talking the driver through troubleshooting options and helping coordinate a repair if there is no roadside fix.

Skills and Experience:

• Australian recognised, Heavy Duty Diesel Trade Certificate.
• Proven experience working as a HD mechanic on service, repair, and diagnosis of truck and trailer repairs.
• Tech savvy, able to operate iPads, and knowledge of using Gearbox preferred, but training to be provided.
• Knowledge of the transport and logistics industry and the regulations that we operate in.
• A solid understanding of the importance of service records and requirements in relation to industry audits.
• Experience working with Macks and Kenworths is nice to have.
• Valid Licence - MC is desirable

About the role:

• Full or Part time Options available.
• Out of hours on call – with on-call allowance
• Proactively keep stock parts replenished and controlled.
• Keep track of upcoming and ad hoc work to ensure everyone is aware of what needs to be completed and by when.
• Working to ensure that the workshop is compliant and will meet audit requirements.
