Sector Support Coordinator – Part Time

Your Side Australia is a leading provider of support services for older people, vulnerable seniors, and carers throughout Sydney. We do this by assisting Commonwealth Home Support Programme (CHSP) providers to enhance service quality and increase capacity, particularly amidst ongoing Aged Care reforms, as well as provide care management across a range of aged care services.

Your Role

We are looking for a Sector Support Coordinator, Aged Care to join our growing organisation on a part-time basis. This role reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer and will focus on increasing home care provider capability and improve quality of service delivery through activities under a targeted range of primary areas, including engagement on the aged care reforms, promoting collaborative partnerships, compliance and improvement of business practices, workforce enhancements and embedding diversity and inclusion into service delivery. These activities will support service providers to uplift their capability ahead of the Aged Care reforms.

The role is supported by the Sector Support Administrator.

Your Responsibilities will include:

  • Research and distribute accurate and relevant aged care information via bulletins to CHSP providers.
  • Ensure all information on the website is up to date for service providers to access, including events, latest resources and bulletin back issues.
  • Active participation in the SSD Community of Practice hosted by the Department of Health and Aged Care.
  • Engage with the NSW and National SSD Network to raise provider issues, share good practices and collaborate with other SSD providers.
  • Identify needs of CHSP and aged care providers to inform workshop content and identify sector understanding of the reforms and MAC updates.
  • Assist in coordinating and support the delivery of online and face to face events including larger scale forums.

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Understanding of the opportunities and challenges of the social services sector and the reforms agenda.
  • Ability to interpret synthesize and distribute health and aged care policy for use by the aged care sector and adjacent services.
  • Knowledge and skills in relationship building with multiple stakeholders, including with government and at senior levels of the sector.
  • Strong communication skills to build excellent internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to represent Your Side positively, articulate our value proposition and influence our key referral / stakeholder network
