Growing ASX listed business, seeking accomplished Assistant Accountant to join the team on an initial 12 month contract basis. This role has come about due to an internal promotion to drive a new project.

Reporting into the head of Trust Accounting, you will be responsible for processing of journals, reconciliation of bank statements, daily reconciliation of cash and processing of company disbursements.

In addition you will prepare daily receipting of journals and prepare weekly adjustments where required. You will also manage complex recocniliations of the control account and assist with payments where required.

You will also be required to assist during Audit and respond to all queries and requests. You will build and maintain effective working relationships with other departments and team members.

To be considered for this role you will be degree qualified with 3-5 years experience in a similar role. You will have previous experience working in a similar Assistant Accountant role and will have strong practical knowledge to hit the ground running in this role. You will have strong reconciliation skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
