Vehicle Body Builder / Welder / Metal Fabricator

Role

Suburban is seeking a motivated and dependable Vehicle Body Builder / Welder / Metal Fabricator to join our team. This role, you will be responsible for fabricating and installing custom bodies onto the chassis of trucks.

We are looking for someone with a strong work ethic, who is energetic, dedicated and adaptable.

Suburban Towing Equipment are a leading manufacturer of Tilt Slide bodies & equipment, we can design & manufacture a Tilt Slide body to suit your needs whether it is to transport cars, vans, machinery, or shipping containers. Suburban Towing Equipment are also able to supply a complete truck & body package to suit your requirements & offer a trade in appraisal on your existing vehicle which can mean less time off the road when upgrading your truck. Our workshop is fully equipped to carry out alterations or repairs to your truck including scheduled logbook services. Our spare parts section carries a wide range of accessories to enhance the look of your truck.

Tasks & responsibilities

• Building truck bodies inclusive of metal fabrication, welding, and sheet metal work
• Must be proficient in MIG welding and general metal fabrication.
• Operation of metal work machinery
• Repairs to truck bodies

Skills

• A ‘can do’ attitude.
• Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a busy team
• Being well organised and proactive
• Have pride in your work and have great attention to detail
• Current NSW Driver’s licence is essential
