NT Health manages the Northern Territory public health system operating across 5 service delivery regions, 6 hospitals, 74 health clinics and 7 corporate offices.
In this role you will provide strategic leadership, prioritisation and active integration and alignment of sustainability into all aspects of healthcare core business at the system, strategic and operational levels to help radically reimagine and transform health service delivery to achieve value based and low carbon healthcare in NT Health to protect and improve the health of Territorians now and into the future.
As the Director Sustainability Action, you will actively drive the elevation, integration and implementation of sustainability across all levels of NT Health in line with the NT Health Sustainability and Climate Adaptation Strategy 2024-2030, and guide and oversee the delivery of high impact strategic initiatives in the NT Health Sustainability Road Map 2025-2027 with a commitment to strong staff and community engagement. You will lead a small, specialist and solution-oriented team to achieve outcomes, as well as provide strategic leadership, direction and advice to the Executive Leadership team and key stakeholders.
To be successful you will have excellent interpersonal, influencing and negotiation skills with a proven track record engaging collaboratively, building and maintaining relationships across all levels including executive. You will also have extensive knowledge of sustainability policy and best practice; including an understanding of sustainability issues, trends and opportunities, particularly as they relate to the provision of health services or public service systems.
