Akkadian Systems is a software consultancy with a focus on enterprise systems, data driven applications and full stack web applications. This role will involve working in a team with strong collaboration using modern Agile development methodologies, with strong testing and DevOps principles.

It requires a willingness to work closely with external client technical and non-technical SMEs to leverage their knowledge to collaborate on solving problems.

Senior Full Stack Engineer - Python

This role will be predominantly focused on building new or emerging enterprise web applications with both transactional and analytical applications, as well as services to support data processing workloads and enterprise integration needs. It will also include developing and modifying features of mature applications.

The core of this role will be as a technical leader and it will predominantly focus on the development and delivery of new features and user stories via:

• Collaborating with and instructing other front-end and back-end development team members.
• Collaborating with product owners and UX/UI designers
• Collaborating with and supporting clients and team members to solve technical challenges.
• Performing code reviews, giving feedback and supporting others
• Working closely with internal and external team members on technical and non-technical QA activities.
• Agile/Sprint planning and operating activities

Qualifications:

• Tertiary STEM Qualification preferably in Software Engineering, Computer Science or similar.
• Short (1 year or less) Qualification in Software or Web Development, e.g. “Bootcamp” style programs

Ideal Candidates will have the following experience:

• 5+ years as a engineer/developer in a professional environment
• 3+ years professional experience with Django and React
• 3+ years working with a team as a technical leader
• Experience working with non-technical stakeholders
