The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic, detail-focused, and team-oriented Senior Executive Support Officer to provide high-quality, professional, and confidential executive support services to the Chief Executive. This role is crucial in maintaining key relationships, managing the Chief Executive's diary, researching information, delivering projects, and improving business processes to support the Department's objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Executive Support: Provide professional, responsive, and effective services to the Chief Executive, including diary management, research, meeting and event coordination.
- Communication: Ensure the Chief Executive is well-briefed on sensitive and complex issues by providing advice on appointments, events, correspondence, and coordinating appropriate briefing materials, presentations, and speech notes.
- Relationship Management: Develop and maintain effective networks, relationships, and communication channels to increase efficiency and achieve Department objectives. Liaise and influence, and negotiate and manage conflict with tact and diplomacy.
- Personal Assistance: Coordinate office correspondence, ministerial requests, and document requirements, coordinate travel arrangements, and coordinate agendas and papers for high-level meetings.
- Culture Contribution: Identify, develop, and improve business processes, promote a collegiate environment among senior executive officers/assistants, and contribute to a supportive and professional team environment.

Requirements:
- Proven experience in providing executive support services.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
- Demonstrated flexibility, adaptability, and versatility in approach.
- Knowledge of government including policy development, decision-making, management and accountability systems and processes.
