Rise and Shine Support are expanding our community of support young people, this is a great opportunity for Youth Support Workers to work with young people under the age of 18 in our care. In our care we provide trauma informed and therapeutic care to children and youth in emergency placements between Devonport and the Launceston region.

Rise & Shine Support are looking for compassionate, supportive, consistent and experienced youth workers to join our nurturing team.

We are seeking hours to be worked

⁃ Day shifts

⁃ Afternoon shifts + sleepover shifts Monday to Sunday, and regular weekend shifts.

Youth Support Workers – Are you willing and able too?

• Work across a 24/7 roster including sleep overs, weekends and afternoon shifts.

• Knowledge, experience or willingness to learn in providing therapeutic trauma informed care with complex trauma

• Have resilience, passion and be a team player

• Willing to navigate complex trauma responses and behaviours.

• Hold a minimum of Certificate 3 in Community Services / or a similar qualification / or are prepared to work towards such a qualification.

• Hold a current unrestricted Australian driver's licence (must have at least Tasmanian P2 licence).

• NDIS-endorsed Working with Vulnerable People card is essential or ability to acquire one.

• A current First Aid Certificate and CPR certificate

• A current (less than 12 months old) Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check OR National Police Check is essential or the ability to acquire one.
