The Opportunity
Due to continued business growth, we are looking for an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our ever-growing team!
The successful applicant will be paid above award wages ($35-$40 per hour, plus super) depending on experience, with flexible hours and working within a highly motivated and driven team in a modern and fast paced workshop.
Position Overview:
As an Experienced Automotive Technician specialising in diagnostics, your primary responsibility will be to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in a variety of vehicle systems. You’ll work with advanced diagnostic tools and technology, helping to solve problems that others can’t. We’re looking for someone who has a passion for the challenge of diagnosing difficult issues, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to provide top-quality repairs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform advanced diagnostics on all vehicle systems, including but not limited to engine, transmission, electrical, and suspension.
- Use state-of-the-art OEM diagnostic equipment to pinpoint vehicle issues with accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and repair complex problems, ensuring vehicles meet safety and performance standards.
- Collaborate with the team to identify effective solutions and ensure timely repairs.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with customers regarding diagnostics, repair options, and recommendations.
- Keep up to date with the latest automotive technology and repair techniques.
- Ensure all work is completed according to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and safe work environment.
- Mentor and guide junior technicians as needed.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician with a focus on diagnostics (minimum 5 years required).
- In-depth knowledge of automotive systems, electronics, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Proficiency with diagnostic tools, scanners, and equipment to diagnose issues efficiently and accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to handle complex and unusual automotive issues.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues to advisors.
- Valid driver’s license.
- High attention to detail and commitment to delivering top-quality service.
- Require Australian permanent residency, (sponsorships or visas will not be considered)
