About the role

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Technician to join our talented team at ABS Glenorchy. This full-time position is based in our Derwent Park, TAS 7009 workshop, where you will be responsible for servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles to the highest standard.

What you'll be doing

• Conduct thorough inspections and diagnose faults on a variety of vehicles
• Carry out scheduled servicing and maintenance tasks with a focus on quality and efficiency
• Repair mechanical, electrical and electronic components using advanced tools and equipment
• Provide exceptional customer service and communicate effectively with clients
• Contribute to a safe and collaborative workshop environment
• Stay up-to-date with the latest industry developments and techniques

What we're looking for

• Formal qualifications in Automotive Mechanics or a relevant trade
• Extensive experience as an Automotive Technician, ideally 3+ years
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Proficient in the use of specialised tools and diagnostic equipment
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality workmanship
• Effective communication skills and customer service orientation
• A collaborative and safety-focused approach to work
