Clinical Supervisor

Permanent, part time, 3 days a week

Salary -- $50.39 per hour

Relationships Australia WA is a leading provider of relationship support services to the West Australian community with professional and highly motivated staff.

We are seeking a passionate and experienced Clinical Supervisor to join our Counselling Programs. Our Counselling programs provides counselling support to people of all ages in relation to couple and family relationship issues, relationship breakdown, parenting, domestic violence, anxiety, depression, grief, sexual issues, childhood sexual abuse, stress and conflict in various situations including work related conflicts.

About the role

The Supervisor will play a pivotal role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, evidence-based services while providing guidance and support to a team of dedicated practitioners. This permanent part-time role entails face to face and online support in various locations across WA. The role will also provide occasional clinical Supervision to practitioners in other RAWA programs where appropriate.

The incumbent can be based in one of our Perth metro Locations and the role requires travelling between the different locations.

Access to a reliable vehicle is required.

All travel expenses (mileage, flights, accommodation) will be covered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical supervision to Counselling Practitioners (and occasionally practitioners from other programs) across various locations and programs, in-person and online, ensuring adherence to best practices, ethical guidelines, and program protocols.
  • Conduct regular individual and group supervision sessions to support practitioners in their case conceptualization, case management and professional development.
  • Monitor client progress and clinical outcomes, providing feedback and guidance to practitioners as needed.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager and Managers to develop and implement policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Facilitate staff training and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Participate in program planning, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement efforts.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of supervision sessions and clinical records in accordance with regulatory requirements and program standards.

Skills, experience, and qualifications

Applicants should possess -

  • a relevant degree (e.g., Social Work, Psychology, Counselling).
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience providing Counselling services to individuals and families with at least 1 year of experience providing clinical supervision.
  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based practices in counselling support for individuals, couples and families.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
  • Experience working with diverse populations and an understanding of cultural competence in mental health care.
