My client is an industry leader in providing IT & communications for the transport industry. This organisation has spearheaded solutions for decades and have assisted in millions of customers every year reaching their destination safely.

My client is seeking an experienced DevOps Engineer to contribute to the development of innovative solutions that deliver valuable business insights to the team. You will join a high performing team and work as a hands-on leader to assist the business in the execution of strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design & maintain automated CI/CD pipelines.
• Own & enhance infrastructure using IaC tooling.
• Solidify system performance.
• Drive solutions for monitoring and resolve infra / application issues.
• Coach stakeholders around best DevSecOps practices to ensure security.
• Make recommendations around tooling and processes to improve processes.
• Monitor & Optimize spend in the cloud environment.
• Have your finger on the pulse of anything emerging in the cloud & infrastructure space.

Requirements:

• Expertise with build tools / Docker tools & CI/CD.
• Expertise with automation practices.
• Extensive scripting experience (Python).
• Experience working in a Unix / Linux environment.
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals.
• Recent experience designing & analysing large distributed systems.
• Strong experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Recent experience in the implementation of IaC (Terraform / CloudFormation)
• Familiarity with Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack or Splunk.
