Position Details
- Part-Time, Permanent Position
- Classification: SCHADS Level 4 with a salary range of $85,205 - $91,686 per annum (pro rata) + Superannuation
- Salary packaging arrangements providing tax benefits available for living and entertainment expenses increasing your take home income where part of your wage is paid tax free each pay, savings thousands in tax each year
- Location: Campbelltown & Liverpool (Working across both sites)
About your new role
Neami National's WorkWell programs support recovery through open employment. There are currently six WorkWell programs across Sydney. With the support from the Employment Services Manager and the WorkWell team, the Employment Specialist will work in the context of the Individual Placement and Support model (IPS), supporting the consumers working toward their individual employment goals. The principles of IPS are competitive employment, integration into a mental health team, individual preferences, zero exclusion, rapid-job search, job development, benefits counselling, and time-unlimited support. At Silverwater, WorkWell supports consumers in the Housing and Accommodation Support Initiative (HASI). The Employment Specialist integrates with the HASI team, creating wrap-around support for both recovery and employment.

What you will bring to the role
- Tertiary level qualification in a relevant discipline (ie Peer work, Social Work, Counselling or Human Services) or a lived experience of mental illness and demonstrated journey of recovery.
- Ability to leverage performance data and other insights to inform continuous improvement and action
- Experience working with client information systems, maintaining accurate documentation and data collection.
- Demonstrate integrity, credibility and foster open communication.
- Positively listens and consults with others to proactively address conflict.
- Demonstrates an interest and understanding of others and relates well to people at all levels.
- Proven ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision and to prioritise multiple tasks to meet conflicting deadlines.
- Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and build trust to deal with sensitive and difficult situations in a diplomatic manner.
- Ability to work productively in a fast paced, changing and agile environment.
- Ability to establish respectful professional relationships that have clear boundaries with consumers, staff, and partner organisations.
- Ability to adapt communication style to meet the needs of a diverse range of people and identifies changing needs within a group.
What the role requires

- Current Working with Children Check - required before commencement of work
- Current Australian drivers licence and access to a car
