About Us:

D. Pelle & Associates is a small boutique accounting firm in western Sydney committed to providing personalised and professional accounting services to a diverse range of clients. Due to client expansion we require the service of an Intermediate Accountant to manage a portfolio of clients.

About the Role:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior/Intermediate Accountant to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with senior accountants and the principal, managing a portfolio of clients and ensuring their accounting and tax compliance needs are met.

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation of financial statements and income tax returns for companies, trusts, partnerships, sole traders, and superannuation funds.

• Preparing and lodging BAS, IAS, FBT, CGT, and Payroll Tax for small/medium business entities.

• Liaising with the ATO and other government bodies to ensure compliance.

• Conducting tax research and assisting with tax planning strategies for clients.

• Preparing clear and concise work papers and account reconciliations.

Skills & Qualifications:

• A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a public practice accounting role.

• Proficiency in accounting software such as MYOB and Xero.

• Strong understanding of Australian taxation and accounting standards.

• Excellent communication skills for liaising with clients and government bodies.

• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
