We are seeking a highly skilled contract Senior Quality Engineer to join our client on a 6 month rolling contract. They are a Sydney-based business that requires the candidate to be in the office 2-3 days per week.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and execute automated API tests.
• Collaborate with developers and other members of the QA team to understand product requirements and create test plans.
• Identify, document, and track defects and work with development teams to resolve them.
• Continuously improve and maintain our automated testing framework.
• Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Provide regular status updates on testing progress.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in QA automation testing, with a focus on API Automation.
• Strong experience with Java.
• Proficient with CI/CD.
• Experience working with cloud based technologies.
• Strong understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile/Scrum.
• Experience with version control systems, such as Git.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

The day rate on offer for this contract role is $750 - $825 PD + GST depending on experience.
