The Role…

Join our Creative Industries team as our Facility Coordinator - Northern Sound System where you’ll coordinate Northern Sound System as a venue and facility, to ensure the successful delivery of operational activities.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Coordinate Northern Sound System facility operations including liaising with internal and external stakeholders to achieve maximum utilisation and functionality of the facility.
  • Deliver sound engineering, mixing, mastering and production services in the rehearsal, recording, training and performance spaces at NSS ensuring excellent customer service.
  • Maintain all sound, lighting, recording, visual equipment to maintain operational viability.

About You…

You will have demonstrated experience in administration and the delivery of facility coordination. Whilst relevant qualifications in in Music, Sound Engineering, Music Industry or a related discipline is highly desirable we welcome applicants with demonstrated experience in a Sound Production and Sound Engineering or similar roles.

You will have a deep passion for working with youth, driven by a genuine desire to make a difference in their lives. The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:

  • The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, juggling multiple priorities with professionalism and focus.
  • A strong sense of teamwork, showing they are a real team playerwho collaborates effectively with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • A readiness to work closely with and follow the direction of the Creative Industries Manager and Youth Manager, ensuring alignment with the goals and objectives of Northern Sound System and the City of Playford.
  • The capability to work independently when required, taking initiative and maintaining high standards of accountability.

You will also possess strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to work effectively with a range of internal and external stakeholders including the ability to coordinate staff including volunteers.

Your commitment to empowering young people, combined with your adaptability and collaborative spirit, will make you an invaluable member of our team as we continue to develop and deliver impactful youth programs.

In addition you will have:

  • Proven experience in audio engineering, live mixing and studio recording across a diverse range of musical presentation.
  • Skills in venue management and/or hospitality.
  • Experience in lighting design and lighting systems.
  • Sound technical and operational knowledge of Protools, FL Studio, Ableton, Logic, Allen and Heath Avantis mixing console, and Road Hog lighting console.
