About Scientific Services:
Scientific Services Division at QIMR Berghofer, which provides a diverse array of essential services to researchers; including flow cytometry, histology, microscopy, animal facilities, analytical facilities, sample processing, metabolomics and proteomics, and cryogenics.
Role Purpose / Responsibilities:
Applications are invited for the position of Quality Manager.
In this position, you will manage and grow the quality system for scientific services provided to internal researchers and external clients. The aim is to ensure Scientific Services effectively supports the Institute's research activities and to maintain and expand appropriate accreditation to support clinical trials.
About you:
To be successful the applicant will have degree level qualification in a life science, with experience in development and management of quality systems. You will have experience working independently to deliver results; highly developed interpersonal and influencing skills; high level of organisation and project management skills; and advanced problem solving and analytical skills. You will also need a high level understanding of Competence for Laboratory Testing; Bioanalytical method validation; Good Clinical Laboratory Practice; and also have a good understanding or the ability to acquire a good understanding of Good Laboratory Practice; Good Clinical Practice; Good Manufacturing Practice; and Quality and competence for medical testing.
Remuneration: Salary range is $118,347 to $129,016 plus super and generous salary packaging. This is a full-time, permanent appointment.
