The Senior Consultant, HR Governance and Projects is responsible for ensuring effective HR governance, compliance, and driving strategic HR initiatives. Reporting to the Senior Manager, HR Projects and Governance, the role manages all governance activities for the HR function including management and improvement of HR's information management framework, supporting annual processes and compliance requirements and coordinating education and training for HR. The role is also responsible for supporting the delivery of HR transformation initiatives that focus on improving service delivery and enhancing the performance of the function. This role is instrumental in identifying and implementing best practices within the HR domain and plays a pivotal role in shaping the overall employee experience.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing HR governance activities, procedures, and practices to align with regulatory requirements and internal controls, including collaboration with the internal audit team on compliance and to drive continuous improvement.
- Maintain and enhance HR's knowledge and information management framework, including SharePoint, staff website and training resources, ensuring accuracy, accessibility, and relevance for staff.
- Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to foster collaboration, provide expert HR governance advice, and champion transformation initiatives across the function.
- Manage HR projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with organisational goals

About You
- Extensive experience in HR governance, compliance, and project management, with a proven ability to drive organisational transformation initiatives.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex HR data, identify trends, and develop actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence, collaborate, and build strong relationships across all levels of an organisation.
- High level of proficiency in knowledge management, including maintaining HR policies, procedures, and digital resources to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities, work autonomously, and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced, complex environment.
- A commitment to continuous improvement, innovation, and upholding the values of integrity, inclusivity, and excellence in HR service delivery.
The successful candidate may be required to complete a number of pre-employment checks, including right to work in Australia and a criminal check.
